Duggingen is a municipality in the Bezirk Laufen, situated at an altitude of 331 meters above sea level and covering a total surface area of 586 hectares. Figure 1 shows the municipality on the map, while Table 2 summarizes its key features.

The history of Duggingen is that of a rural community in the Laufen district of the Basel-Landschaft canton. According to Wikipedia, it is bordered by several other municipalities and is characterized by its rural setting and well-planned zoning regulations, making it a typical single-family home community. In 2024, Duggingen had a population of 1,625 people. Of these, 1,259 were Swiss citizens and 366 were foreigners, representing 22.5 percent of the population. The age structure shows 315 young people aged 0 to 17, 1,023 of working age between 18 and 65, and 287 older adults over 65. The gender ratio is nearly balanced, with 808 women and 817 men.
