This insight presents the monthly water temperatures of Basel’s public outdoor swimming pools.

The original temperature data is updated every 15 minutes by an automated program that retrieves the latest readings from https://www.ed-baeder.ch/. For this analysis, a summary dataset has been used, which stores only the minimum, maximum, and average water temperatures for each pool on a daily basis.

If a pool is closed or no temperature data is available, no value is recorded in the dataset for that period.
